Chase Man

Last night we went out to dinner with Brian's parents, Jill, and Chase. Afterwards we came back to our house and hung out and watched The World Trade Center. It was a good movie, I highly recommend it. I actually stayed awake for the whole thing, I guess it sucked me in, and yes I cried the whole movie. (I don't think there is a movie that I haven't cried at) Anyway today it is raining...Brian has to ref some hockey games so I decided to relax and enjoy the raining day inside. That's it for now...

Chase man was over last night and he was being so cute, here are a few pictures that we couldn't resist taking. (Julie, Chase makes me miss Caleb, he is getting so big. I just love all the pics and Laura I still need to meet Mr. Owen.. I can't wait)

Chase turned off the t.v. on us and this was his face afterward..."What did I do?"

Lots of new things...

We got new furniture!! A few weeks ago Brian and I went shopping and ended up buying a new chair and couch for our family/living room. Our old couches went to the basement so that we can entertain down there too. As you can see we got a lazy boy reclining chair, Brian picked it out and he loves watching his sports in it. I don't really see myself ever getting a chance to sit it in unless I steal it when Brians not home. Oh well I guess it is a guy thing. In other news, I am still not really subbing. My tutoring job started today though so that is three afternoons a week, hopefully subbing will pick up. God has plan, we know it, but it is hard trying to understand it sometimes. Good news for Ohioians...we will be in Mentor next weekend!!! Brian and I are flying in on Thursday night, his brothers are playing hockey in Youngstown so his parents are coming too. We will be in town until Sunday afternoon. I am exicted to see my sisters and friends and family.
Brian's favorite spot in the house
Our new couch and chair together, I just love the pillows, they came with the couch
So here is our laundry room, I was very busy this week while Brian was gone for five days in Nashville. I cleaned the whole house and organized lots of stuff. Brian suprised me in the summer when I came to visit with this laundry room, he painted it and laid the floor all by his self. He is such a great guy...I am so lucky.

This is our newly painted guestbedroom. I painted all by myself while my man was gone. I am so proud, I just had to show a picture. Oh now the room is all set, it just needs some guests... any takers?
And last but not least, this was my final project while Brian was gone. Our office is black and white, so I designed a photo wall of family and friends all in black and white. I love pictures and now when I work in the office I can see all of our friends and family.

Fun Times

Things here have been good, Brian and I have gotten pretty much our whole house clean and decorated. The basement is going to be our next project, but it is going to have to wait for a few months. Here are just some random pictures of Brian and I...
Here is Brian getting a hair cut from his mom
(thank goodness I do not have to cut it or we would probably be in trouble)

These are some of the neighborhood kids, when it snows they go sled riding in our yard. Here I am at the movies with a bunch of Brian's co-workers from Maryville.. we saw Becaue I Said So, it was a cute movie and a great girls night out.

More Hockey

Well things have been busy around here. Brian is working a lot and I have not. The subbing job that I received is not providing as much work as I thought it would. I have only subbed one day since I got the job. My tutoring job starts next week so I am excited for that. Right now I am currently looking for another job, I would love to work somewhere that has a pool so that I can teach lessons and possibly work in the summer. But right now I will take just about anything.

Besides work things are good. Brian and I are loving married life, but this past weekend we spent our first night apart. Last Saturday I went on a scrapbooking over night with Jill and Hillary, two of our friends. We had a great time and I got a lot of scrapbooking done, but I missed my boy. It did help prepare me for this coming weekend when Brian will be leaving for Nashville for five days for a work conference. So sad :(

Well it snowed here, yesterday we got some bad weather and all the schools were closed. Brian even came home from work early, so we got to hang out and enjoy the time off. Some of the kids in our development even used our backyard to go sled riding in, because we have such a good hill. It was fun watching them play outside all day. But the snow did not last long, today it is still bitter cold outside but the sun is shining, so you are able to see parts of the grass...nothing like the snow we'd get when I lived in Ohio!! That is a good thing though, because I hate the cold weather, Spring needs to come soon...

Here we are with Brian's parents and his brothers (Gary and Timmy) at their hockey game this past weekend. Gary is a senior and it was senior night on Saturday. Brian went, but I was scrapbooking, but they played on Friday night too, so I got to go then.

A Hockey Weekend

So Brian and I spent the weekend in Chicago for hockey playoffs. Affton (that is the club that Brian coaches for) took all 7 of their teams to the league playoffs. It was bitter cold and very windy but his team came out on top. The Midget Minors took first place. I am so proud of my hubby and his team. Soon they will be on to playing for the state championship and then hopefully regionals and nationals. Brian loves his team and we had a lot of fun this weekend. The hotel was packed with hockey players and families and I got to spend some time with Brian's team from last year too, they were the boys that were part of Brian's proposal. All in all it was a great weekend, except for the ride home. I got sick twice, I think it was something I ate, but the mom's joked that I might be pregnant. Haha, what a funny joke, but I am feeling a lot better today. On a another note, Wednesday is my first subbing job at Oakville High School, I am a little nervous but very excited. Have a great week.

I hope you liked the miny tour of our house. The camera can't get every part of the house, so if you want to see more, you will have to come and visit. We welcome all visiters. Lots of love. Have a great week.

Not 1 but 2

Yes that is right I got two different jobs. First off let me say that the Lord is good and His timing is perfect. So I had my interview with the Mehlville school district on Tuesday and it went really well. I am an offical sub for their 17 school district. They say they average 60-80 subs a day so hopefully I will be able to start working next week. I am really excited. And now that I am in their district I can apply for a full time position this coming fall and they have math openings!! My second job is going to be tutoring for the St. Louis Charter School. Jill, a friend of ours is a 2nd grade teacher there and they are in need of math tutors. Well it all worked out perfectly and for about 2 1/2 months I will be tutoring 3 days a week. The pay is great and the time does not conflict with subbing so I can still sub and tutor. Praise God!! So yes that is my exciting news. I am ready to start working.

In other news Brian and I finally got the internet and it is up and running. Last night we had some friends over for dinner and I cooked. I even used a recipe from one of my cookbooks. Yes I for sure sound like a housewife saying that. But oh well, we had a good time.

So this is Chase man, he was one of our dinner guests last night. Isn't he so cute. Well that is it for now. Oh and I forgot that IT SNOWED HERE FINALLY, but only like 1 1/2 inches, you can still see the grass, that is my kind of snow. I hear Cleveland has a lot, sorry about that. Love you all.

A Weekend Of Fun

Something happended the last time I posted this, so I thought I would try again. Last Friday night Brian and I went to the St. Louis Blues Game. (The professional hockey team) They played and beat the Detriot Red Wings in overtime. For my first game it was a lot of fun. Check out the pictures, I even wore a Blues jersey.

On Saturday Brian and I spent most of the day at the ice rink. Brian's team had two games and then we watched his team from last year play. I am learning more and more about hockey each day. This coming weekend Brian and I will be heading to Chicago with his hockey team, for playoffs. It is going to be a long weekend of hockey but I am excited to be able to go.

Saturday night we went to a trivia night for Brian's cousin. Her volleyball team was trying to raise money so we went, along with his parents, and a bunch of friends. I had never been to a trivia night before but we had a lot of fun. I even answered a few questions right.

Here is our table at trivia night

All in all it was a good weekend. We even worked on cleaning up the office and Brian put together our new desk. I promise I will post pictures of the house later this week. Well tomorrow is my teaching interview so nothing else new here. Have a great week, lots of love.
