Big Boy Car Seat

It is official, my baby is now a toddler. We went to the doctor's on Monday and Matthew weighed in at 23 lbs 4 oz and measured 30 inches tall. He is really growing now, no longer is he a tiny guy. We also got the go ahead to buy a big boy car seat and turn him around. Well he loves it and has had so much fun talking and singing with us.
Enjoying a snack on the ride

1st Birthday Party

Last weekend we had Matt's 1st Birthday Party at our house. The weather was hot so most people stayed inside but we still had a great time. Matt loved his cake and got lots of cool toys and new clothes.

Happy 1st Birthday Matthew

Last Friday our baby boy turned 1 year old. I honestly can't believe it has been a year, it truly has gone by so fast. It's hard to remember those early weeks with sleepless nights and a tiny 6 lb baby. Matthew's birthday was a good one, Daddy was out of town for work so we just spent the day together running some errands. Our first stop was Greenpark to take a look at his sign!! Birthday Boy
Gramma and Papa came over later on to drop off his gift, a new wagon, which he just loves

New Floors and Carpet in the Gardner House

After lots of discussion we finally decided to get new flooring upstairs and downstairs. However we waited and had it installed the week of Matt's 1st birthday party, needless to say I was a mess and so was my housed. But it is all clean now and looks great.

We then got new carpet on the steps and in the basement

We also added some pictures and Matt's letters to his room (it only took us a year)

Matt's 1 Year Pictures

We got professional pictures taken of Matt right before his birthday. He was a little stinker at first but then warmed up and was smiling and showing off by the end. They all turned out so well, but here are some of my favorites.

Visiting the Brights

After the wedding we headed to Toledo for Heather's baby shower and then spent a few days with Heather and David in Marysville, Ohio. We got to see their new house and the town that they are living in. It was very nice to just relax for a few days and enjoy the blessings of good friends. We miss them already and can't wait to meet Baby Girl Bright.

It was great to spend the afternoon with the girls

Jamie and Ken's Wedding

Well, all three Soeder girls are officially married. On July 10th, my sister Jamie tied the knot back in Ohio. Her wedding was beautiful and the weather was perfect. Matt was great, he was not in the ceremony but was a trouper all day (actually he was awesome during the entire trip).
