Summer Fun

35 weeks... only about 5 more to go. Hard to believe our little guy is going to be here soon. Everything is going well, I have two weeks left of teaching summer school and about three weeks left of master's classes. So far I am still feeling good, a little tired at night but overall still hanging in there. Praise God for air conditioning though... last weekend it was in the upper 90's with a heat index of over 100. Well enjoy the new posts... new belly pictures to come soon.
My mother-in-law turned the big 50 yesterday. So as part of the celebration we went to the Cardinal's game with them. The weather was perfect, the game not so much. We lost. Oh well, you can't win them all.

We had great seats, right on the third base line

Grandma-to-be with her birthday gift. We made her a basket of baby stuff for Grandma's house, she loved it
The doctor told us we only had two more weeks of traveling, so Brian and I took advantage of our weekend off and headed to the Lake. It was our first and only trip of the summer, hard to believe we will have a little guy with us next time we head down there. The weather was hot but the water was perfect to swim in.
Brian and I on the deck... my belly is getting quite large

On the boat.... I just love boat rides
This is an older picture, but a few weekends ago Brian and I went to the race track in Illinois. It was fun, I had never been before.

Friends Baby Shower

This past weekend, Jill and Hillary threw us a baby shower for a bunch of our friends. It was a hockey themed shower and they did a fantastic job. The cake is my favorite, it even has the Affton Hockey logo on it. We are definitely blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.

Cardinal's Baseball

In continuation of Brian's birthday we headed to the Cardinal's game last weekend. We had a good time, but the Cards lost 11-4... there was even a 4 pitcher, 9 run inning. Not our best game of the season, but I guess you can't win them all.
All of us at the game

Phil was a little bored so he decided to braid my hair, he wasn't half bad

And the best place to be after a Cardinal's game.... yes Ted Drewes

Brian's 28th Birthday

Brian turned 28 last week and to celebrate we went out to dinner at Shogun, which is a Japanese Steak House. It was a lot of fun, they cook the food right in front of you and our cook was really funny. Afterwards we headed back to our house for presents and cake.
Brian, Jason, and Phil... just being weird
Brian trying to catch the food that the cook threw at him
The video is a little dark, but it is Brian doing his birthday dance to the Japanese drum line (very funny)
Jason's dad made these onesies for me to give to Brian, they are Affton Hockey onesies and a bib for our little man to wear at Daddy's games this coming fall... they turned out so cute.
