Florida Trip

This past week Matt and I headed to Florida to visit my grandparent's. They have a house in Sebring (in a retirement community) and were very excited for our visit. We had perfect weather and enjoyed a break from the St Louis snow. I had so many cute pictures, so be prepared...

Matt loved the putting course, he finally learned how to hit the golf ball gently to get the ball in the hole

We spent one evening at the Sebring Children's Museum, it was very similar to the Magic House but much smaller and we were practically the only ones there. Matt had a blast.

Matthew Kevin

Matt stayed home sick the other day with Brian and he didn't nap at all that day (and he was up early too). Needless to say he fell asleep in my arms at dinner, I changed him and gave him a bath and he actually slept through the whole thing. I wanted to get a picture of him sleeping in the tub but I couldn't let go of him. Anyway our little man is starting to feel better, but we are going to see a pediatric ENT later this month to check on his ears.

St Patrick's Day Parade

This past weekend Jill and I started our day off with the St Patty's Day 5-mile run. The weather was perfect and we both did great, ran the whole thing. Afterwards we headed to the downtown parade. We all loved the sun this year, it made for a great afternoon outside.
All of us at the parade

Blake, Chase, Matt and Aiden (so crazy how big they are all getting)
Matt watching the parade (he loved the can coozies, put them on his arms like that all by himself)

Later that night we headed to Maryville for the annual trivia night. We ended up in 6th this year.... so proud of the Village Idiots

Grandma and Grandpa visit from Ohio

My parents came out for a visit last weekend. It was a short trip but we enjoyed every minute of it and so did they. Matt just loves his grandparents especially grandpa who can't get enough of him either. We had beautiful weather on Sunday, it was close to 70 degrees, which made our trip to the zoo great.

Matt wore Grandma out... she fell asleep while we were playing. (Grandpa put the monkey there to be funny, so silly)
Brian's work convention was in St Louis this past week so Matt and I got a chance to visit and he held a snake. Brian was freaked out but Matt didn't seem to mind.

Growing Each Day

19 months and a few days, I just can't believe it. Matt is talking all the time, practically a new word everyday. He knows most of his animal sounds and is all about any sort of ball. Tonight we ate at Friday's and he noticed the basketball game on and was very excited. "Let's Go Blues" and "hockey" are two phrases that we here all the time. Matt is also quite the helper around the house, the loves to empty the dishwasher, put clothes in the washer, and help me sweep. He is definitely my son.
