Another Snow Day in St Louis

Well St Louis got hit with a few inches of snow last night and it is still snowing now so no school or work for the Gardner's. Instead we bundled up and headed outside to play and shovel the driveway. Matt loves helping shovel he has his own little shovel and we wants to do it by himself.
Like Father Like Son
Daddy is Matt's favorite person and he follows him around, I just loved watching him try to be like Daddy and shovel the driveway. Matt is so blessed to have such a wonderful dad. I just know that his relationship with our heavenly father will be great because he has such a wonderful example of how a father-son relationship works.

Such a happy guy

Almost 18 months...

The other night I went in to check on Matt and I just had to grab my camera. I just love watching him sleep, so peaceful and cute all snuggled up with his animals. Lately our little guy has done great sleeping in on the weekends, Mommy and Daddy usually are able to sleep til 8:30 sometimes 9 on Saturday and Sunday (we love it!!)
Matt just loves his daddy. And he loves stealing a bites of his food.
Worn out from reading

Matt got a new playhouse at Gramma and Papa's house. (Our church was getting rid of it so we got it for free, such a blessing) And he loves playing it. Notice the Christmas lights that Gramma hung up for him.

Our Trip to Ohio

After Christmas we traveled to Ohio to visit my family for a few days. We decided to fly this year since it is quick and Matt doesn't cost anything yet. He did great on the plane, a little restless but what toddler isn't. Our trip was great, we got to see lots of friends and family. My dad's brother from North Carolina came in for a few days and we also got to see my dad's sister from Arizona.

It's Christmas

Brian, Matt, and I had a wonderful Christmas. We slept in and then made our way downstairs to open gifts with Matt. He had a blast opening his new blocks and tool bench and then we were able to play a little before heading to breakfast at the in-laws.

Christmas Eve with the Gardner's

Christmas Eve we all went to church as family and then spent the evening at the in-laws. It was such a nice and relaxing way to spend the holiday.

Snow on Christmas Eve Morning

We woke up to a few inches of snow on Christmas Eve so we headed outside to shovel and play. Matt loves being outside and is such a big help.
