New York City

On Sunday we had some time to kill, so we decided to venture to New York City for the afternoon. We started out with a driving tour while Matt slept and then we parked for lunch and walked around Times Square. The weather was absolutely perfect that day, but I think the driving and the tolls gave Brian a headache. I think he is happy to be back in the Midwest.

Cake Boss

For those of you that are familiar with the tv show "CAKE BOSS" then this post is for you. While in New Jersey we decided to travel to Hoboken and have lunch and visit Carlo's Bakery. It was really cool to see and the first day that we were there was cupcake day so I got to see all of Buddy's sisters and have my picture taken with Buddy. We bought some pastries to try and took a peak at all the cakes, lets just say that some people are crazy. I saw a 1st birthday cake that someone ordered for $1,700.00!!! Where do these people get that kind of money??

Our second trip to the bakery, this time Brian came with us

Hockey Trip to New Jersey

Last week Brian and his hockey team traveled to Wayne, New Jersey to compete in the National Tournament. Matt and I joined the team on Wednesday night and stayed through the weekend. It was a wonderful trip and Matt was such as easy going baby, he is very easy to travel with. The man behind us on the plane said he was the best baby he had ever flown with!! As for Brian's team they lost in the semifinal game to a team from Florida, but it was still a great season.
I love the coach

We decided to take advantage of the hotel pool, Matt just loves the water (he is my kid after all). Mr. Serious splashing the water

HAPPY EASTER

He has RISEN!! Easter Sunday was beautiful outside, almost 80 degrees, warm enough to break out the shorts. Matt was such a trouper during our busy day. Church was awesome then we headed to Grandma and Papa's for brunch, and then Nana and Great Papa's for the afternoon and dinner, by the end of the day he was ready for bed.

Passed out after a long day. He looks so long in this picture. My baby boy is growing up so fast.

Easter Photo Shoot

So Brian would call me a nerd, but I call it saving money. I decided to set up a little photo shoot in our basement to get some Easter pictures of Matt so I could send them to my family. Matt loved eating all of my props.

Ahh I just love those eyes

HAPPY EASTER

Yummy this bunny tastes good

Spring Time and Sick Baby

The weather these past few days has been wonderful. We have been able to get Matt outside almost everyday and we have finally opened the windows in the house. Since Matt loves to swing, the Easter Bunny bought a swing for our backyard and decided to deliver it a few days early.

Brian and I love watching Matt sleep, this is one of his favorite positions
Last week I came home from work to find both of my boys taking a nap (Matt had his first ear infection and so we had a rough few days)
Aunt Marissa and Matt taking a little snooze

Matt is a busy little 8 month old, he is not crawling yet, but close. However he loves to stand and play, so much so that we had to take the legs off his activity table because he wants to stand and play at it all day long which means mommy and daddy have to sit close by. His activity table is one of his favorite things to play with and we can often find him dancing to the music.
