7 months and growing

Matt is finally sleeping through the night!!!! He has always gone down well at night, but he just loved that 2am feeding. Well it has been a few weeks now and I am loving the extra sleep. He goes down about 7pm and sleeps til 6am when he eats before I go to work then goes back to bed til 8ish. We are loving it.

Matt is doing really well with all the new foods, I am making all of his fruits and veggies, so far he is not too much of a fan of peas or green beans but he eats them anyway. He loves squash and sweet potatoes. As for fruits, he likes them all even the avocado.

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

A few weeks ago, my parents came to visit. They couldn't get over how big Matt was getting. It was nice having them around for a few days and Matty loved showing them all his new tricks.

While my parents were in town we decided to take Matt swimming at the YMCA. He just loves being in the water, which makes us so excited for this summer.

Snow Day

A few weeks ago, Brian and I got the phone calls.... NO SCHOOL, SNOW DAY!! It was a great day doing nothing. It was very sunny so we decided to take Matt outside for a few minutes. As you can see from the pictures below, a snow day in St Louis isn't saying much. (I know all you Ohio people are laughing)

6 months

I can't believe Matt is six months old already, well actually almost 6 1/2. Last week we went to the doctor's for his check up. He weighed in at 14lbs 9oz (5th percentile) and is 26 inches long (30th percentile), he is tiny but healthy. He is getting very curious lately, everything he finds goes in his mouth and he loves playing games with us. Patty-Cake is his favorite. We have started introducing fruits and veggies and so far he seems to like them, I am making all his baby food and so far I have really enjoyed it.

Big milestones... Matt has learned how to sit-up all by himself. He falls over occasionally, but loves trying to get back up. One of his favorite activities is balls in a bowl (shout out to Parents as Teachers), he gets so excited when he is able to get a ball and bring it to his mouth. Speaking of his mouth, it is currently empty... no teeth yet, but they should be coming soon. He is definitely teething, lots of drool and chewing on any and everything.
