Heather's Visit

Heather finally came to visit me in St Louis about two weekends ago. Brian was out of town for a hockey trip so we got to spend some much needed girl time together. It was her first time to St. Louis, so we went to the arch, Gus's pretzels, shopping, Helen's, and more. It was a great weekend and I loved every minute of it. Brian and I have been trying to talk David and Heather into moving out here. (David there is St. Louis College of Pharmacy and a Walgreen's on every corner) Anyway, with January almost over we are both doing well. Brian's hockey team has playoffs this weekend so hopefully he will bring home some wins.

Another Blue's Game

Brian and I got to go to another Blue's game this past week. Only this time we were five rows from the ice. They were great seats and the Blue's won 6 to 1 against the Columbus Blue Jackets (Good old Ohio!!)

don't they look cute?
Look at the view from our seats... we were practically on the ice

1 year old cake

So these pictures are a little old, but I haven't had time to post them. Well once Brian and I got back from our holiday traveling we decided to thaw out the top of our wedding cake and eat a piece for our first anniversary. Let me just say that after a year in the freezer it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We only had a small piece, it was a little dry but not too bad.

One year later and still in love (Notice Brian's face, I don't think he trusts me)
It wasn't me, he smeared frosting all over my face this time

Chicago Trip

After a fun week in Ohio visiting family and friends Brian and I traveled to Chicago for a hockey tournament. While we were there we had the chance to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. (Can't believe it has been a year) We drove to downtown Chicago and ate dinner at P.F. CHANG'S and then walked around and did some shopping. It was really cold but we still had fun.

Later on we exchanged gifts, for the first anniversary you are supposed to give paper... well my loving husband wrote a sweet poem and then attached to it was a piece of paper with flight information on it. Brian bought Heather a ticket to come visit me in St Louis for a weekend in January! What a great gift... My husband is the best and I get to see Heather soon!!!
I had to take a picture of our hotel room... it was a 180 degrees of windows, how cool
